The Dixieland Jazz Society, the State Theatre concert series, Modesto Band’s Concerts in Teh Park, Modesto Melody Makers and Sweet Adelines, provides the musical concerts for all genres. The music and drama departments contain students from both Modesto Junior College and California State University Stanislaus as they present concerts, recitals, plays, and so much more!

Modesto also harbors its own tribute to the city's history and art with several preserved historical sites that are spread throughout the city. Some of these include: McHenry Mansion, McHenry Museum, Central California Art League Gallery, Southern Pacific Depot, Lucas Plaza Statue, McClatchy Square, and the Modesto Farmers' Market.

For those that are more interested in sports, Modesto is abundant in rivers, lakes and recreational opportunities that last all year round. You can enjoy baseball, golf, visit the Modesto Skate Park, or have a picnic at one of Modesto's 66 natural parks.
